Mural project this summer in Woodland, CA
I feel this concept illustrates the human connection to the soil in Woodland. The inspiration comes from the early morning drives I would do with my father (a farmer in Dixon) when I was a child. He would get out of the truck and dip his hand into the dirt and smell it. I wondered what he could determine from the smell and texture of the soil, was it lacking nitrogen? Only a farmer would know. This mural will be about 45 by 30 feet, but I'll be on a lift about 45 feet in the air most of the time (the building is 60 feet tall)!
